Scrape the Web

The WWWGrab program fetches web pages and passes them to Set Machine, which parses the web page data and extracts the desired information.   This extraction of information from web (HTML) pages is known as web scraping.

The WWWGrab download contains samples that can be adapted :

• stock quote scraper
• generic HTML table scraper

The samples generate database records with the extracted data.   Check these web scraper screen shots for an idea of how it works.

Extract information from emails

The Set Machine program can scan stored email folders.   It's ideal for generating database records from formatted messages sent by the likes of PayPal, eBay, Amazon.com, whomever.   Check this screen shot to see how Set Machine parses emails.
